چکیده

Introduction Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) is regarded as the gold standard for evaluation of left and right ventricular volumes and ejection fraction. Assessment of valve regurgitation can be performed by flow measurement in the great arteries for the aortic and pulmonary valve. Subtraction of ventricle stroke volume and flow measurement in the affiliated great artery results in regurgitation volume of the corresponding atrioventricular valve. Aim of this study was to evaluate the reproducibility of valve regurgitations considering intraand interobserver variability in patients with mild to moderate valve regurgitation.

Cardiac and Hepatic T2*-Weighted Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Abstract Background Iron overload is the main transfusion related side effects in patients with transfusion dependent hemoglobinopathies. Severe iron deposition in tissues leads to organ dysfunction. Many organs can be affected such as heart, liver, and endocrine organs. Cardiac failure and liver fibrosis are the consequent of Iron overload in transfusion dependent hemoglobinopathy. Magne...

Right ventricular Hemodynamic Alteration after Pulmonary Valve Replacement in Children with Congenital Heart Disease

Introduction:  In patients who underwent surgery to repair Tetralogy of Fallot, right ventricular dilation from pulmonary regurgitation may be result in right ventricular failure, arrhythmias and cardiac arrest. Hence, pulmonary valve replacement may be necessary to reduce right ventricular volume overload. The aim of present study was to assess the effects of pulmonary valve replacement on rig...

Size Reproducibility of Gadolinium Oxide Based Nanomagnetic Particles for Cellular Magnetic Resonance Imaging: Effects of Functionalization, Chemisorption and Reaction Conditions

We developed biofunctionalized nanoparticles with magnetic properties by immobalizing diethyle-neglycol (DEG) on Gd2O3, and PEGilation of small particulate gadolinium oxide (SPGO) with two me-thoxy-polyethyleneglycol-silane (mPEG-Silane 550 and 2000 Da) using a new supervised polyol route, described recently. In conjunction to the previous study to achieve a high quality synthesis and increase ...

Severity of mitral and aortic regurgitation as assessed by cardiovascular magnetic resonance: optimizing correlation with Doppler echocardiography.

BACKGROUND Cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) is widely recognized as a non-invasive gold standard for quantification of ventricular volumes. In addition, it is an emerging diagnostic modality for clinical evaluation of mitral regurgitation (MR) and aortic regurgitation (AR). CMR facilitates accurate quantitation of regurgitation volumes and regurgitant fraction, but referring physicians a...
